Description

Description: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate IL17RD in samples. An antibody specific for IL17RD has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any IL17RD present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for IL17RD is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of IL17RD bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Overview: Fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) are secreted proteins involved in cellular proliferation, migration, differentiation, and survival. FGF activity is negatively regulated by members of the 'sprouty' family. The SEF protein is a modulator of FGF signaling. The genomic coordinates used for the transcript record were based on transcript alignments.
Expressed in umbilical vein endothelial cells and in several highly vascularized tissues such as kidney, colon, skeletal muscle, heart and small intestine. Highly expressed in ductal epithelial cells of salivary glands, seminal vesicles and the collecting tubules of the kidney. Isoform 1 is also highly expressed in both fetal and adult brain, pituarity, tonsils, spleen, adenoids, fetal kidney, liver, testes and ovary
